Thank you for visiting my website, I would like to tell you about myself. I am a licensed Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist who has been working professionally since 1990. During that time, I have been focused on my commitment to provide the most professional, expert treatment that is possible. To this end, I have received advanced certification in Wans 3E Acupuncture developed by Giorgio Repeti as well as Trigger Point Acupuncture taught by Mark Seem. Certification was also received in Deep Tissue massage with Robert King of the Chicago School of Massage, Core Technique with Garnett Dupuis of the Santa Monica School of Massage and Myofascial Release with John Harris. It might be noteworthy to mention that Garnett Dupuis derived his program from study with Ida Rolf of the Ida Rolf institute and John Harris from his work with John Barnes, the physical therapist who developed Myofascial Release.
In the year 1996, my quest for excellence led me to the study of Reiki and Light Ascension Healing with Robert Baker, founder of Children of Light Personal Growth Center in New York City. Reiki Healing is a psycho-emotional energy technique that employs "hands on (or hands off the body) healing" with light, firm pressure and breathing while allowing the bodies nervous system to recalibrate at a more relaxed rate. This brings rise to new thought patterns which allow for emotions to flow in a smooth manner, which in turn contribute to the further relaxation of the entire body as it releases blockage of both muscular and mental/emotional nature. The Reiki/Light Ascension Healing training involved twelve initiatory attunements stretched over four years. Other aspects of the program included extensive psychological training as well as counseling and group visits to planetary power spots such as the Egyptian pyramids and Machu Pichu in Peru. I received my twelfth Level Reiki/Light Ascension Master attunement in the year 2000.
In 2003 I entered a one year seminary program with the Church of the Revelation, Science of Light, founded by Dr. Elyse Curtis (not affiliated with Children of Light). This program is an evolved Christian study and training based on the work of Edgar Cayce, who gave extensive readings on metaphysical interpretations of the Book of Revelation and other books of the Bible. This study led to my ordination as Minister in 2003 and I performed my first marriage in the summer of 2004.
Also in 2004, the commitment to excellence led me to achieving a Masters of Science of Oriental Medicine (MSOM)degree at Tri State College of Acupuncture, New York City,working under the guidance of its' founder, Dr. Mark Seem and his staff.
As you can see, I have been on an unrelenting quest of excellence for the past twenty one years since I graduated from massage school and decided to turn a vocation into a highly skilled profession with commitment to healing the pain of those who seek aid.
I would also like to say that you need not be put off by the "metaphysical" aspects of my biography. I think it was Sigmund Freud who once said "sometimes a massage is just a massage" (or something like that), which is my way of saying that the Reiki part is optional. You don't need to feel like you are being "analyzed" in order to relax or have some relief from pain. The benefits of Acupuncture or Massage Therapy with or without the Reiki component are valid, long lasting ways to maintain health through relief of stress.
